The match of the day was the fixture between Lahore Tigers and Big Bite who have been arch rivals on the field from the beginning. Lahore Tigers won the toss and decided to bowl first on this occasion. The BB batsmen were confident and didn’t waste any time settling in as they scored 45 runs in their first 4 overs. The incoming batmen carried on doing the good work for Big Bite and cementing on the platform provided by the openers. Big Bite scored a big 195 as the Tigers struggled to pick up wickets. He highest scoring batsman was the big gun, TJ and the best bowler was Immi Raja who took 1 wicket for the cost of 4 runs.
Chasing a massive total, the Tigers needed a blistering start and that’s exactly what they got as Tanvir Butt scored as first 50 of the indoor league. Tanvir and Asif finished the first 4 overs on 60 runs as Ali and Asim Raja walked in. They scored 37 in their 4 overs and the Tigers were on 97 runs, half way home after 2 partnerships. However, everything started falling apart in the 3rd partnership as they could only manage 10 runs in their 4 overs due to some very average running between the wickets. The Tigers weren’t able to keep up with the required run-rate after that and found themselves struggling in the last partnership. They finally finished on 179 and once more, they took it close against BB but couldn’t get over the line. The highest scorer was Tanvir Butt with his 50 while Pip Frances was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets for minus 4 runs and also became the man of the match with a difference of 23.
