Components of the game

Table

The table is typically 20 to 30 feet long with the width being roughly 3 feet. A line is present at the target end of the table, approximately four inches from the table’s end. There is another line further four feet away from the end, and each player is required to move the four flat metal weights.

Disks

The disks used in shuffleboard should not be more than 1 inch in thickness. At the same time, you should make it certain that the diameter is less than 6 inches. Furthermore, the disks cannot measure less than 11.5 ounces when it comes to weight. The disks available on the market these days usually weigh 15 ounces.

Two sets of disks are used in the game with each set containing four disks each. The color of the disks belonging to the same set is the same. Before you proceed with the game, you should ensure that all the disks have the same weight and thickness.

It is advisable not to use a disk in a tournament unless it has been broken in.

Cue

The cue is usually less than or equal to around 6 feet in length. Make it a point to ensure that the metal parts on the cue do not come in contact with the surface of the court. For more information visit website #Shuffleboard rules
