How to know you are choosing high quality French wine

It can be confusing to choose the best French wine. There are so many varieties to choose from and one area that makes the whole process even more confusing is the names on the wine bottles. When it comes to choosing the best French wine, consider choosing a bottle of wine from a region the wine was originally made. This is important because it means that grapes used to make the wine were grown in that region and the wine itself was made under the watchful eye of the local winery. You should also consider certain words on the bottle such as Clef des chateaux. As far as the region where the wine was made is concerned, consider choosing a bottle that comes from a renowned region or a region that has had fame because of its grapes.
Quality is an important factor to consider when choosing French wine. French wines that come from regions renowned for growing high quality grapes will have AOP (Appellation d’Origine Controlee) and AOC (Appellation d’Origine Protégée) labels. These appellations are important because they suggest the wine you are about to buy is of high quality. One area most people do not pay attention to when buying French wines is the bottle capsule. The bottle capsule can tell a lot about the wine you are about to purchase. Consider the color of the capsule for example. If the color is green, it indicates that the wine is part of the AOP or AOC labeled wines and it is generally a high quality wine.
If the color of the bottle capsule is blue, it indicates that thewine Abidjan is vin de table or vin de pays wine. This type of wine is mostly associated with cheaper wines and one that can be used on a daily basis. IF you see a red color, this means that the wine is not a vin de table, vin de pays, AOP or AOC wine. It means that the wine is any other type of wine you can find on the market. In most cases, however, the red color on the bottle capsule indicates that the wine has not come from a renowned region or has not been produced in a certain way.
